Hi Everyone,

The days are getting longer and that's a very good thing. The moods brighten, the sun keeps us warmer and lifts all things from the earth. The world seems in a more fragile place than I can recall in my short life. The natural ebbs and flows seem more extreme and people on the fringes seem more exposed to harms way. Children seem most vulnerable. I received a link to a very cool video. It's a simple view of how our consumption is creating a world out of balance and the effects of our ways, especially Americans. Click here for the video.

In other news, my great friend and guitar player, Tom Gillam and Tractor Pull are on tour in Germany this month and into April. I hope all those near the cities he's playing will check out Tom and the band. He's got a great new record out as well. Say hi for me!!!

I'm working hard at finishing up a new CD to be released later this year that I've really enjoyed making with Devin Greenwood producing. And a tour with the band this Fall is already booked in Germany, The Netherlands & Austria. We're trying to get to some other countries but it may be Solo or a Duo thing.

Next month, I tour in Germany with the 'Parsons - Thibaud' duo. We released a CD last Fall and it's a lot of fun for Todd and I to get together and sing these songs. I'll be playing the States later this year so I hope to see you if there as well.

I hope all are well and not letting the media's shouting about political and worldwide turmoil making you (and me) pessimistic about the future. So many great things to come. And so many ways to help make our world a better place. Cliché, but true.

Peace,

joseph

January 10, 2008
Paris, France

Happy New Year Everyone,

I woke up on January 1st with the Flu (Grippe). The way I look at it is that it can only get better.

Most of last year I'd like to forget, but I won't. The wonderful memories of my father Joe, Zan & Juan will always be in my heart.

I feel great about many things from last year around music. I wrote a lot of music and got involved in several very cool projects. The one I'm am currently thrilled about is the collaborative project with Todd Thibaud. We made a very cool record called 'Parsons - Thibaud', toured in Europe and had a blast. The most fun I've had on tour in a while - although the rock band is a lot of fun too! But something about this is special for us both. Relaxing, don't have to prove anything but just enjoy the art. Very cool indeed. We're doing another tour in April - May that looks to include a few more countries in Europe as we'd like to share this with more of you. If you'd like us to come to your country, please email Boehm Booking about it.

Looking ahead, I am excited about a new CD I'm making with musician and producer Devin Greenwood. I have wanted to work with Devin since 'The Vagabond Tales' CD and the opportunity arose this September so I jumped at it. We worked before I came to Europe in October and he came to Paris to work in December with me. We hope to wrap it up early Spring for a release sometime this year.

Living in Europe, mainly Paris, is something I've wanted to do since I was a kid. We'll see how it goes, but so far, excluding the last 10 days for Flu, it's been amazing. It's a subtle thing, but something in the mix between the pace of life and the quality of life adds up to a rich experience. It's not just the beautiful 'things', it's not just the wonderful food, it's so much more.

I am wishing everyone a splendid year, better than the last. Keep in touch an thank you for your incredible support these years!

Peace,

joseph

November 9, 2007
Weimar, Germany

Hi everyone,

I am on tour with Todd Thibaud to suppport our new 'Self-Titled' Parsons - Thibaud CD. So far, we are having the greatest time and playing all over Germany and shows in Austria & The Netherlands. Tomorrow we head to Austria and I hear it's snowing all the way. COOL! At least let it snow if it's going to be cold.

Last year, Todd & I toured together in Europe and when it was done, we realized how much we enjoyed singing together. And thus this CD & Tour. Many thanks to all the fans who have been supporting us and venues that have us.

Otherwise, there have been many new projects starting but I'm still superstitious about telling folks about upcoming things until they actually happen, know what I mean?

My good friends Ben Arnold and Tom Gillam have released great new CDs you should hear. They sound wonderful and there are really good songs on both, so surf on over and check it out. I sang on a few of Toms new songs.

Keep in touch and much love and peace to you all,

Joseph

Manayunk, PA - USA

Hi Folks,

It's now October and we are full into the Fall and I am very disappointed. I like it warm or even better, HOT! Don't know why, always feels better with the sun on my skin.

October 27, Todd Thibaud & I start our Fall tour in Germany with additional dates each in Austria and The Netherlands. This is very exciting to me as we have been touring together and crossing paths over the years but never done a duo tour with just acoustic guitars and vocals/harmonies. I hope you can catch this tour!

And speaking of this tour, I just returned from Boston where Todd Thibaud and I got together to record a little something. It turned out we recording a little extra something and we are both pretty excited about it. We seem to each be in a new place in our musical lives where we wanted to do songs in a new way, natural and open without the constraints of a big production and expectation. Three days and we were able to set up, record & mix 10 amazing versions of some new and old songs. The CD will be released in late October. And we really hope you like it as much as we do.

I will be spending much more time in Europe hoping to stretch out into some of the other countries where I am not touring. Any ideas would be very helpful!

Many other things on the horizon that I can't talk about until they happen. Yes, I am superstitious!

Much love and peace to you all,

Joseph

Birthday shout outs to Anna O • Little Billy Wurtzel • Michael B. • Coeli • Christian (Boom-Boom)

August 13, 2007
Weimar, Germany

HELLO, HELLO!

I am in beautiful Weimar, Germany at the moment on a day off after a few shows. This is a great town and previous home of Goethe. Beethoven also lived and composed here for a while. Very historic and a welcoming town for us over the years. The shows we played in Hilden, Licherode and Erfurt were great. The new band here is with Sven Hansen (drums), Freddie Lubitz (bass & vocals) & Tom Gillam (lead guitar & vocals). Awesome players that add a tremendous amount of energy to the sound and songs. We head to France tomorrow to play in Aix Les Bain, another beautiful town nestled in the Alps. There is nothing wrong with this picture. The band will then head home to their respective homes in Holland, Germany and New Jersey. Tom Gillam has a CD release party on Friday this week in Philadelphia so he's gotta split Thursday morning. Go see him if you can at the Trocadero in Philly this Friday, August 17th. I'm also playing a few other shows in France while here this August & September so check out the Schedule.

Some other info to let you know about is: 'The Fleury Sessions' is now available in the US via downloads at iTunes. or a shipped copy can be bought through It's About Music. I hope you pick one up!

Next is that this Autumn, Todd Thibaud and I will head to Europe for a DUO Tour of Germany, Austria & Holland. I'm looking forward to it as Todd's a great singer/songwriter and guy to hang with. We have a great time playing music together!

I hope each of you are well and I look forward to hearing from you or seeing y'all!

Peace,

joseph
